Tony Levin (bass-- King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Liquid Tension Experiment)

Recently he contributed to studio engineer, Roman Klun, solo album Kingsway along with 3's Joey Eppard among many others. I'm going to catch the Roman Klun Kingsway showcase tomorrow evening in Woodstock. There's a few more dates around Woodstock, Saugerties and NYC. This one that I'm going to is at Colony Cafe
22 Rock City Road
Woodstock, NY 12498

The RK band for the evening will feature: Chris "Gartdrumm" Gartmann, Anni Krueger, Daniel Grimsland, Billy Riker, and Daniel A. Weiss

Also appearing...
Pete Levin Trio (8pm)
Joey Eppard (9:30pm)

Additionally... Tony Levin has some new tunes!
he's formed a project playing Chapman Stick + Vox with Michael Bernier (Chapman Stick, vocals and drums) + Pat Mastelotto (Drums and Digital Digits) called, Stick Men. I just came across their profile on myspace. They had a show booked in Brooklyn mid-Oct. I tried to make it out, but didn't have the funds. Since hearing about the formation of the project I've been dying to find a way to lend my ears to it. Now there's a way!

No prob. Btw, Pete Levin is Tony Levin's brother. I hadn't seen him perform before... damn was I blown away! The drummer of Pete Levin Band, Harvey Sorgen, is easily the most skilled yet groovy drummer I've had the pleasure of experiencing. There's just so much talent in this neck of the woods that go unnoticed.

Joey was incredible as always. I'm always amazed at how one man can captivate entire audiences... and somehow he manages to get better each time! I hope one day he and Tony will work on some music together

wouldn't surprise me..Tony's worked with so many brilliant people.

Not sure if there's a relation, but there's also ADAM LEVIN too..I believe he's a Stick Player as well. He was at Nearfest 1 year I was there.

I do dig a lot of that Roman Klun stuff. I'm gonna have to look for his cds soon.

hmm I haven't heard of this Adam Levin. I'm gonna say there's no relation.

I really dig Kingsway. Very different from everything else that's out now. And Steve Gadd is on it too!
