New album is out:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YGJRCWGB

It's a web rip but sounds very good for a web rip.

Thoughts on the bands career?

i've been down since Odd How dropped on Rise Records (lol) when I was like in 9th grade. they always put on a good show, and after meeting them and hanging out on the TDH/Circa tour, i can say they are absolutely swell dudes as well.

i'm waiting for a good version of this.

the always open mouth was AMAZING. i dont know why they shortened their name, i always enjoyed it. look forward to hearing this in the near future.

also, why does every band have to release their album so late in the year. i am overwhelmed with how many cds are coming out right now.

I am completely in love with the new album. Before listening to it I read some very mixed opinions on AP, but as a Fear Before fan I can wholeheartedly say that it didn't disappoint one single bit. It's vastly different from their other stuff but I really love the progression of the band and the new sound on this album. I actually think this is the most infectious I've ever heard Fear Before sound. I was also immensely impressed with the vocals. Never knew the guy could sing this well, at all. It's been playing non-stop.

I liked it more when Adam was used complimentary with the screaming, as opposed to him singing throughout the new one. Haven't really had a chance to soak in the lyrics yet which is always the best part with them.

i tried listening to this again and it's still shit. i'm honestly mad at this band for getting me so excited for this record and then coming out with a piece of fucking trash. i haven't felt this strongly about the low quality of an album in awhile.

i mean seriously, this shit is just boring. dave can't sing, there's no cool guitar work anymore, all the sweet atmospheric electronics from TAOM are gone... i feel like they literally went out of their way to make a bad record.

i erased this from my itunes and pretending it never existed.

Well, I agree with Brian on many things, but I actually like this album a lot. Sure, it's not half as complex as their previous work and the guitars are definitely not very prominent or exciting, I actually do dig Dave's vocals and some of the 'harmonies' and I can honestly say it's some un-Fear Before like infectious shit. It's very different from their previous stuff, but I really do appreciate it for what it is.
