eh, i liked good apollo 1, but the second one was pretty goddamn shitty. basically took the first, hit copy paste and then dumbed it down imo.

They used to be good. We'll see what happens with the prequel album, but it'll probably be more shitty iron maiden rip-offs.

oy! i'm 20 and have a girlfriend, and i HEART Coheed. MORE than my girlfriend. and family.

i CAN see, though, why people have lost interest, or can't help but compare the most recent albums to SSTB and IKKSE:3 (the latter of which i think is FAR superior); but, i'd be trying to hide if i didn't say i haven't loved each album in it's own way. i like the progression . . . i'd say it was simply them maturing (not that that's not EVERY fans excuse for their band progressively changing their sound through albums), though i'd say IKKSE:3 is probably their most mature album, and would agree with a certain sense of "dumbing down" in the two Good Apollo's.

it's hard though for me to deny the maturity in musicality - Mic's basslines have gotten more and more character, and some of his licks are fucking incredible in the newer albums. with Chris Pennie on board now, too, Mic's only gonna improve more - with Chris already being a ridiculously good drummer.

but, to each their own. i bloody despise "Rockstar" by Nickelback but it seems the entire world frowns upon me for that opinion - arsewipes.

i love IKS the most but i have personal favorites from the Good apollos. i think that the willing wells and the final cuts are some of the most progressive and interesting songs i have heard in a while. and radio bye bye is the poppiest, catchiest song ever but it is followed by the end complete III so the hardcoreness balances out. i think that they have gotten better in some ways and worse in others but im really betting the new album will slay some babies.

coheed is fantastic.

each of thier albums has had a completely different feel to pretty much anyone, and no world, to me, is the album they seemed to have made for themselves, not trying to be something they arent or appeling to a certain group.

and tafka is right, thier next album will bring about soooo many abortions.

Most of the people who would be here from Cobalt are neither Claudio, nor Brians minions anymore. We've grown up.

Yeah, disappointed with No World. Second Stage, IKS, and some of Good Apollo were great. Hope they go back to their roots with the prequel
