I was supposed to catch them last night but the guestlist got filled last minute by some mic company that wants to endorse them or some shit, so no show for me.

their style is so different, with joey's guitar playing and all.

I got to see 3 play live, and its so incredible. Had heard people tell me before that they are so much better live, and well its the damn truth. I love how Joey plays that well and gets so into it that he just busts strings left and right. They all get that into it, especially the drummers.
And on that point, come on, how often do you get two drummers in a band? Watching Joe, the (percussionist/keyboard player) hit his china and cymbals made me burst out laughing though. You just have to see it.

So Joey definitely remembered me and my two friends at Prog nation

We had gone about 400 miles to see them in fayetteville a couple months before, and they were sold out. We talked to them after the show and they were so bummed for us that Joey took us back in the venue so we could buy shit and get a full picture with the band. Anyway, fast forward to Prog Nation date in Richmond Virginia, we see Joey and ask him what's up, and my friend asked if he remembered us. He took a second and went. "OOOH SHIT! Jester's Pub, Fayetteville, right? Did you guys make it in this time?"

I felt damn awesome.

Bst live band ever. Their studio recordings fail to capture that though.

Not to say I don't listen to them a hell of a lot.
