Word.

This band is sheer amazing. If you haven't listened to them ever, I say go out now and get Young Team and Happy Songs For Happy People.

Everyone of there releases has been great.

3 new songs off of their new album are flawless. THIH is going to be shit-tight. I think Brian posted them on his blog or something. Go check them out.

One of the only bands that has been around for a while (eleven years) to always come out with a breathtaking album, release after release.

Anyone else in the NYC area planning on going to see them at Terminal 5?

their eps always have a totally different vibe from the full lengths. the batcat ep is alright. the only ep i really like by them is EP+6

Travel In Constants EP is pretty great, but 4 Satin is much better in my opinion.

I don't have the batcat EP.

they pretty much invented the style of modern post rock followed by the guitar heavy, climax-based post rock bands like EitS, This Will Destroy You, Caspian et al on their first album, young team. from then on, they've gone between all sorts of different styles, sometimes using vocals, sometimes not. its really less post rock (in the sense that people are used to) than it is abstract rock.

download both young team and rock action. i think they are probably the best starting points,
