Yeah so I have always been real into indie and progressive music but recently most of anything I listen to is really folky, or has either a violin or a banjo in it. Anyway any good bands I should know about that folk shit up?

maps and atlases, one of my favorite bands.

We'll talk about how we'll change but we will never follow through.

It's so weird, they are from right around here. Doesn't seem like the kind of place to birth a pretty sweet folk band, haha. The music scene here is sorta shit.

Also, I'll throw up The Avett Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Colm Mac Con Iomaire (irish instrumentalist), Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, The Middle East, Radical Face, River City Extension, Right Away Great Captain!, and The River Empires (again, haha. with fervor!). Sorta from all sorts of parts of the spectrum, or just barely on the fringes.

Im a huge fan of the River Empire and Andy Hull, and I like Damien Rice and Maps and Atlases. Haven't heard of the other bands though, lol my music is becoming more and more hipster everyday so the more obscure the band the bigger my black rimmed glasses get..
