soooooo as most informed people can tell from my username, i love rush. and i was hesitant to start this thread cause they are a really old band but, seeing as they have albums still coming out and are still touring, it needs to be discussed.. if you didnt see it go check out their performance on the colbert report.

and for all those other old bands you guys can start a comprehensive thread or whatever but ill let someone with more balls or a mod do that cause i dont want to get flamed for making an unnecessary thread.
This bag is full of big black dildos.

I've been listening to Rush since I was a little kid. I saw them a few months ago at the Comcast Arena in Boston and it was absolutely epic. Easily my favorite band of all time.

Fans around here?

their new record "Clockwork Angels" leaked the other day and comes out next week. By a lot of accounts, it's their best in many years. I am one whose thinking that early-on. If you've written them off with their recent albums, this new one might surprise you.

I thought Snakes & Arrows was a pretty awesome album too. I heart Rush and I always will. Hoping to catch them in Brooklyn this fall. Haven't bought tix yet though, 'cause they're a bit pricey.

I think this may be my most favoritest Rush clip:

"Hi, I'm a recovering crackhead, and this is my retarded sister I take care of. I'd like some welfare please."

On the one hand, I hate the HoF. On the other, it's about damn time. :) Can't wait to see the old geezers again this summer!

I'm seeing them in July. I saw them last year and they were amazing.
