I dig this dude's music. A lot of it is very laid back. I only know of three projects he's done, but i like them all.
post-foetus

geotic

Post-Foetus is damn near impossible to find, but it's on itunes.
and all of his Geotic stuff is free which can be found here
http://www.angelfire...tus/geotic.html

also, he is Baths.
Which is pretty easy to find, it's also on itunes.
since i can't post 3 videos in one post, here is what Baths sounds like
Baths and Post-Foetus releases should be on spotify

these are the correct opinions

after hearing cerulean back when it came out i searched high and low for his side projects. they were fucking impossible to find until i found his angelfire (lol) website
http://www.angelfire...etus/music.html
that has all of the non-label stuff he's done.
the post-foetus album is REALLY cool, especially seeing how parts of it evolved into Baths. i'm really glad i heard it when i did because the Baths rework of Felix and the Mural he's been doing live is fucking UNBELIEVABLY GOOD
the geotic EP Bless the Self is probably one of my most listened to albums ever by this point. i play it almost every morning i open at work. it's pretty much the ultimate 'chill but still in the mood for doin' stuff' music

there's a song with his guest vocals and a geotic mix of one of the tracks on this new Dntel album and so far its sounding fucking fabulous. him and Jimmy Tamborello should do a Postal Service v2.

Obsidian is awesome, and it gets even better every time i listen to it. So far it is one of the albums released this year i've enjoyed the most, if not the most enjoyed one.
Songs like Miasma Sky are phenomenal because they're very catchy, but also quite complex, with intricate and crazy changes of tonality. Also, as Stretts said in the electronic thread, ithe lyrics are very dark and personal.
I know it's not the best comparison ever, but some parts of it sound like the second album we'll (hopefully) never get from The Postal Service, but *infinite times better than how they would/could do it right now (if it makes any sense).
If i can i'm absolutely going to get this on vinyl as soon as it's released. This guy, other than being incredibly talented, looks like one of the most humble and great dudes around. (and i feel bad for downloading the leak, haha)

Currently listening to the songs posted in this thread and i'm amazed. I love that i can download for free most of his previous work for free on his website. :D
please be nice

Lucky guy! My opinions are based on interviews i saw/read, but i would love to see one of his shows and maybe talk to him. He recently said he wanted a band with 3/4 members and live drums, and it sounds really interesting.

Unrelated. NOO STREETSS! What happened to your Project Mayhem avatar? :o

it seems like a lot of artists like him and tom krell only play overseas or places like New York and California.
but, i understand why where i live wouldn't be a good place to play, i doubt there are many fans around here.
also, i need to give obsidian another listen.

i listened to it again, and i dig it. It seemed like on Cerulean some of the tracks didn't fit, but i think they all fit pretty well here.
My favorite tracks have to be Worsening, No Eyes, and Earth Death

I love how the songs all have the same obscure tone but none of them sounds similiar and the record is not even a little repetitive.
Favorite songs are currently Miasma Sky, No Eyes and Phaedra. I also really like Worsening.
I'm trying to understand the lyrics but it's not always easy. I pre-ordered the vinyl, hope it will have a sheet or something with the lyrics.

Incompatible is another good one.
The only complaint I have is the track placement of Inter, it shouldn't be the last track. Maybe placed at track 5, and then the album ends with Earth Death.
Earth Death feels so fucking raw and would've been a great way to end it. Maybe i'm failing to see a significance of Inter being the last track, coming right after ED with this real light, mellow track and vocalizing for just shy of four minutes, feels off. UNLESS, earth death is about him killing himself and inter is him being buried. But, i don't want to get into that. Maybe it would help if i could actually find the lyrics to these songs.

Ha, i keep thinking about it as a sort of outro. Like the credits in a movie.

Ha, yeah, the album just feels so incredibly personal, that i don't know why he wouldn't end it with an actual song.
I just feel like "inter" would fit better if it were maybe an "inter"mission and placed at track 5 or something.
but it just makes me think the title has something to do with it being the last track.
inter, to place inside of the earth, burial.
and he talks about wantimg to be killed and being "pulled into the earth" on earth death. this is where i got the idea that it may be about him dying.

does anybody know where i can find an instrumental version of cerulean
or at least just an instrumental version of Lovely Bloodflow, only song where i just don't like the vocals?

I honestly have no idea. I don't think there are official instrumental versions. If you can't find anything at all maybe you can try using some softwares and try to remove the vocals, even though those things usually suck.
