This guy makes some killer beats, and all of his stuff is freaking free.

his bandcamp tags are as follows: 8-bit 9-bit electronic ambient chill-out chiptune dubstep fakebit free glitch indie instrumental jazz trip-hop Indianapolis

go listen and possibly support a great artist

I recommend these in particular:

(also, I inadvertently recommend checking out Protodome as well. chiptune jazz micro-music indeed.)

nice implementation of chiptunes

i like the ambient/chill parts, not a huge fan of when the songs ramp up.

still, some good stuff.

i like what i heard on zero-g, a lot more than what i heard on zero-g2.

zg2 seemed to have more of a dubstep feel.

this broken heart has too many pieces, is probably the best song i heard.

We'll talk about how we'll change but we will never follow through.

I like the way halc (and some others) implement the dubsteb, honestly. I can't stand straight up dear-god-why dubstep but the pseudosubtle approach pleases me.

for more ambientish stuff, check out ambinate, also free.

I remember you posted Protodome in some other thread, and I checked it out and I immediately fell in love with the song There's Always Next Week. And so I played it on my radio show last week and it was awesome.

So yeah... thanks.

Game boy EP on the way.. have written like 4 songs in the last week. I swear, forcing yourself to compose for 3 monophonic channels and a white noise generator makes you better at writing music.
