After their work on Blue and Yellow* I've gotten into them a good amount. Their From Nowhere EP (free) is okay, but I really liked "Grindin'", a track from Le Sheik Rhat that they released for free. Casey produced the EP and I think plays on it as well, and it's out now for $5. I haven't listened to it yet as I have a meeting to go to now, but Grindin' sounded like a fifth Yellow track. So, yeah. Get on that.

* Cameron also designed all the covers

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

yeah, i just can't get into the ep. "grindin" was a bit better, but i'm still up in the air on them. i'll buy the ep and give it a shot though since obviously casey is a big fan of their music and i trust his judgement... :munch:

I must say, I was blown away by their performance last Friday in SF. Did anyone else catch any of the west coast shows?
I wish they would have been able to do the entire tour, these guys deserve some recognition.
And Cameron did such a killer job on all of the TCS EP covers. This is a group of incredibly talented guys.
Let's make this our last day at home by the fence.

I saw them in Portland, and they were solid.
After listening to Le Sheik Rhat I wanted to go to the beach and blast it. Luckily I have all summer to try and make it happen.

My friend and I listened to Le Shiek Rhat on repeat almost the whole way back to Reno after the show. It was about a 5 hour drive with stops and traffic. I've even got my dad listening to it. I love it.

Could not agree more. I thought that as soon as I heard the new EP. Le Sheik Rhat is a good listen.

I highly recommend checking these guys out. If you saw TDH on the west coast for their TCS headlinging tour you probably saw them open, pizza is their producer too. Go to naivethieves.com and you can download their first EP for free and listen to their newer one. I suggest listening to Le Sheik Rhat, Grindin', Dark Lonely Ocean, and Santa Ana

I downloaded both of them about a week ago. I like them.

Cameron Thorne's voice really reminds me of Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys though. Especially on the Blue EP

Huh, I searched for this thread but I didn't find anything but I guess it does exist. I am good friends with these guys and I know all the inside scoops, I'm not going to spoil any of their surprises but if there's any hints or promotions to be done, I'm the guy who's going to do it.

But I can say that they started playing a new full band version of Dark Lonely Ocean that sounds rad. They said they changed it because too often when they played it the crowd would take the opportunity to have conversations. Theyre playing a lot in LA lately, if a show isn't 21+ I'll be there.

If there's any band that I'm dying to see, it's totally these guys. I'll be so jelly if you manage to get into one of their shows.

I've seen them eight or nine times. I can usually get on the guest list. Lauren and I were also in their Le Sheik Rhat music video

Here's some video Lauren took of their newest song

I hope they release their new music soon. It would be super cool if they have some available at the show but I doubt that'll happen. I know they are working on a full length and last time I talked to Jaron he made it sound like that's why they haven't been playing many shows.

Yeah man, I'm pretty stoked for their LP. Le Sheik Rhat is always on replay for me.
