At the Drive-In Appreciation here.
I know there are fans, so come on out!

Relationship of Command is one of the best albums and anyone who hasn't heard it or has delayed listening, go right now. It's definitely worth your time.
...Its still sucks that I'll never be able to see them live. Blah.

And for those of you who have heard RoC and haven't heard Vaya or In Casino Out... definitely do so.

So favorite songs?
Off RoC, I think my current favorite is Enfilade.

mars volta's music is just more interesting to me i guess. i can stand listening to the pure fucking garbage of mars volta more than the pure fucking garbage of atdi. all in all, they're both pretty sweet, but totally different bands.

i like tmv better because i could picture having sex to it better.

and honestly i love atdi but i listen to more songs by tmv. when i listen to drive-in it's usually in small bursts, whereas with mars volta it's more of a trip and i'll put on frances the mute and zone out to it while driving or laying down.

dude i was listening to at the drive in yesterday and it would probably be one of the greatest things ever in music history if that band got back together now after splitting off so much.

sometimes i wish the singing in tmv would happen a little more in atdi and the sometimes i wish it was the opposite.

I love this band so much, they were so talented and had deep and powerful lyrics.

My favorite from RoC has to be Sleepwalk Capsules or Pattern Against User.

I did it to De-Loused the other day. You've got a point. But I love both bands, its probably sort of unfair to compare the two if they're completely different creative entities.

if at the drive-in got back together now it would be like TMV2. if they tried to go back to their past way of playing cedric would be taking back everything he said about the change in style. cedric has wayyyyy too much pride to ever do that.
but i think that if the mars volta got back on track now it would be just as good as ATDI. bedlam was between good and alright with me so im hoping its getting better because francis didnt sit well with me. ATDI lives on in every angst-filled mosh pit that ends in death!
This bag is full of big black dildos.

i doubt it would be the mars volta 2. cause as big of ego cedric has he is pretty smart and would probably be down for doing something different.

i dont know. just damn, if they just got back together and collectively wrote songs again it wouldnt even be fair.

ATDI is definitly the better of all three bands that are involved with it (including Sparta). I just can listen and enjoy it more. The other stuff just doesnt have that same feeling for me.
