fuckin duh. thats why they call them samples. j dilla occasionally does the same thing. realizing when to make subtle changes to a sample is a form of minimalist art. if you would have heard that original song do you think you would have liked it just the same as you liked the daft punk song? i know i wouldn't. thats because daft punk puts way more feeling into it.

fuckin prog rock kids thinking that people need to make things more complex to make it better.

not to mention those are only selected pieces of instrumentals. they just use those samples the same way a guitar player plays a C chord.

Oh I know. Some comments on that video are like 'OH MY GOD THEY STOLE EVERYTHING.'

Related: listening to an Aerodynamic remix from Daft Club now.

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

They are from my hometown! Met them a couple times, cool guys. Daft Punk are DJs, not "classic" musicians, no instruments on stage but they kick ass anyway.

Talking about french music, there is a beautiful band called Syd Matters, you should check them out...

Salut!

I just finished listening to this and I liked it a lot.

I can tell this album will be very polarizing, though.

good thing my *digital download* of the new album is delayed.

wat

edit: the pure digital purchase had no issues, but the cd + mp3 thing was glitched. Manveer saved my ass with a promotional credit to buy the mp3 album.

seems a little overcomplicated but whatever.
