So it has been ages since I have listened to something this heavy by choice, but I saw a tweet by someone random I followed months ago and it was a tweet saying this album would be a free download on the bands bandcamp for this week only to celebrate the release on Panic Records, so i downloaded it.

It's heavy, the instrumentation is absolutely insanely good, loud, passionate and I really enjoyed the whole thing. Even though its an aural assault there are also beautiful passages throughout the release. Ive picked it up on vinyl.

First track off the album

I didnt think itd be my cup of tea, especially after a steady diet of jazz, ambient and electronic music over the last few months - turns out a bit of Skramz was what I needed tog row hair on my balls again.

yeah... the national pussied my music choice down considerably back in 2007... and it's never been the same. i need to force my self to listen to this stuff, even if i dont want to... i feel like i might be missing a potential bear vs. shark and/or TREOS if i keep going down the folk/dreampop/jazz route. unfortunate that would be.
