I'm sure a bunch of you know already but Bad Books' album will be released on Oct. 19th. This band is made up of Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine. There are two songs up on their facebook page, and they're pretty good if you're a fan of either artist. I look forward to this.

I'm definitely looking forward to hearing this album & I'll probably buy it as well. Both great song writers. The tracks they've released so far sound pretty nice.

I guess the physical copy got pushed back til November, but I scored the digital download on Amazon for $2.99. I'm really liking it, but I don't think I love it like I do just Manchester or just Kevin....

I'm sorry if I missed it and someone has a topic about them somewhere, but I'm really surprised if there's not. I love them. Andy Hull is a genius and the new album is so great. The self titled debut from them is a great album too, but II is awesome. I can't imagine that people around here aren't listening, but if you're not, start now.

I thought the first album was quite mediocre, but it was their first attempt at joint song writing so that is acceptable. Bad Books II on the other hand is really good. Andy and Kevin really figured out how to work together to write some really good music.

I'm a huge fan of both albums!
Actually Mickey, most of the songs were written by Andy or Kevin, almost never really by both. They said there were maybe 2 songs on the new album that they co-wrote more than usual, though!
Dunno if anyone watches my Youtube stuff, but I've figured out and covered a few of the new BB songs, if you are interested!

Hmmm. I assumed since it was a collaborative project that they would write together. I guess I shouldn't assume things anymore! Oh well, the new album is great anyways.

Eddie, the show last night was sooooo freaking great!! I expected it to be good, but it was really excellent. They were not mellow, like I thought they would be. At two different points in the show it was just Andy and Kevin on stage to do some of the slower stuff; Pyotr and Ambivalent Peaks and a couple of others. Those songs were excellent and more like I thought the show would be. The other times when everyone was on stage it was like a Manchester show singing Bad Books songs, those guys fucking rocked the shit out of those songs! Andy is always awesome, but I was surprised at how great Kevin was, what a great voice. Those two have great chemistry on stage, they were engaging and funny and their harmonies are crazy. I would go see them again tonight if I could. Have fun at the show dude!
