I searched and didn't find a thread for As Tall As Lions

I'm just now getting into this band... apologies to the people who are flabbergasted right now... and I was wondering - which album of theirs is the best? What are the best songs?

Bam Shazam.

But to answer your question, I'd start with the self-titled.

I'm really looking forward to their next album, as some of the new songs really worked well live.

I downloaded the self titled album.... GREAT stuff. Song for Luna is my favorite, but there are a ton of good songs on there. My only complaint is it's a little bit like Coldplay as a whole.

A Sort of Farewell.
After eight years of music, friendship, laughter, adventure, bliss, blood, sweat, tears, and everything else that goes along with it, As Tall As Lions are retiring for the foreseeable future. There is no sadness on our side, and we hope there is none on yours. We will be playing a handful of shows across the country to try and give everyone an opportunity to see us one last time.

12/17: Los Angeles - The Troubadour
12/19: Chicago - Lincoln Hall
12/21: New York City - Highline Ballroom

Tickets will go on sale at 10AM local time this Saturday.

Our sincerest apologies to those who can't join us at these celebrations, but know you will be there in spirit. Much love to you all, and thanks again for everything.

-As Tall As Lions

like Menomena, at least this doesn't come as a huge shock. Still sucks no matter.

A terrible, terrible day for music. Hopefully Kilimanjaro (their side-project) will at least be staying together. I'm seriously considering driving from NH to NYC to see their last show. By far one of my favorite bands ever, especially live. "Love's not a grave, it won't decay on you" - Now I see this applies to their music too
"make the most of yourself for that is all there is of you"

Kilimanjaro seems to be going as strong as ever... I'm just really curious to see what Dan's gonna do.
