This genre is more of a sometimes thing for me, but when I do find an artist I can swell into and just lull away I really do enjoy it.

Definately digging Celer and Anduin lately, The Silent Ballet's compilation volume twelve has some amazing ambient works on it.

Anyone else dig?

Yeah, I dig this genre, do you have links to these bands, or should I just look them all up on myspace?

Checked some of this out, and really dig it. Good stuff.

Here is a band called Hammock from Nashville, kinda shoegazey at times, but still easy on the ears.

Haven't been able to stop listening to them lately.

We'll talk about how we'll change but we will never follow through.

Anduin's myspace - http://www.myspace.com/anduinore

Celer myspace - http://www.myspace.com/celersite

The situation with Celer is very saddening, they were a young couple making ambient drone stuff and one day they woke up together and she had passed away from heart complications - at just 26

Listening to "Things Gone and Still Here" and thinking about that makes me saddened; I can't even begin to imagine how he must feel.

Probably fit better into the category of 'Dark Jazz' rather than 'ambient' but Bohren & Der Club of Gore are fantastic.

Anyone want a free download of Aughra's first LP?
I got one with the LP I ordered but I already have the files, so I figured someone in here would like it.

Over the last week or so ive run into some incredible ambient works. Going to have to share here, they r just too good.

First one is from the Zymogen Netlabel, the record is called "The Market Fresh" and its a collaboration between two canadian artists, Simon Trottier and Nicolas Bernier

Posted Image

This is basicaaly 19 minutes of aural bliss, with a lone guitar and sound manipulation the textures just evolve until you can hear references of the opening guitar lines 17 minutes in. DL Here: http://www.zymogen.n...eleases/zym025/

Today i downloaded this from Feedback Loop Netlabel and in all honesty the last 5 minutes of the first track brought me to tears it was that beautiful.

Posted Image

The first of two tracks ' absence' evolves into something indescribable, you just have to listen i guess...

These are all free downloads btw

Been listening to a lot of Japanese stuff lately.
Organic Stereo,
http://www.myspace.com/organicstereo
I'm sure a lot of people have heard this guy by now, but I just found out about him 3 days ago and haven't been able to stop listening. I get this feeling listening to it that he is putting emotion into every note he plays, and it's amazing.

Motohiro Nakashima,
http://www.myspace.c...tohironakashima
Some really nice stuff from this guy, the one track on his myspace doesn't do him any justice.
Check out "We Hum on the Way Home" by him.

Ironomi,
http://www.myspace.com/ironomi
Some really nice, soft piano and acoustic guitar that make you drift in and out of sleep.

And @Stretts, "Abscence" is fantasticly amazing.

We'll talk about how we'll change but we will never follow through.
