I'm going to see these guys tonight with a friend of mine's band. Compared to As Tall As Lions and TDH. Sounds like Kaddisfly to me. I thought some of you would enjoy this.

Will definitely check this out when I'm done with this plant biotech work... love (love love) all of those bands!

Great find this is really cool. I love the guitar tones and also the fact that the singer has a lower range. Too many high pitched singers now. We need more basses and baritones.

That's awesome to know. The dude has incredible control over his voice. Amazing falsetto and vibrato.

These guys are awesome. Granted, a bit repetitive at times and simplistic. That aside, I've been listening to them nonstop.

What a long, strange trip it's been.

"Shine Alone" is a nasty good track, and "The Snake or the Charmer" sounds like a song right off of Act II.

So I've been listening to this album a bunch lately.. there's some seriously great stuff here.

Sadly, they broke up (sortakinda) and formed a way less awesome and pretty boring band seen here: http://www.theyounginternational.com/
Ah well, c'est la vie.

yeah, I think the girl left the band and they decided to change the name since lorien is already used by some band (though theyounginternational sounds really lame to me).

I decided to pre-order the album but I do not expect it to be as great as Esque.

Great stuff. I don't know why I never thought to ask other TDH fans for new music to listen to. Hotel of the Laughing Tree, A Great Big Pile of Leaves, and now Lorien have all been added to my iPod.

Based on the one song they've got up, I have no real hopes for it.
