dude! i love opeth so much. i regret not being able to see them on prog nation but i will go see them on the watershed tour. opeth might be a tad hardcore for some people but even if they are listen to the song "coil" off their new album watershed. im really into jazz and this album has lots of jazzy break downs amidst the crazy death metalness. if you dont already listen to them and you arent heeding my advice, michael akerfeldt will kill you in your sleep. for those of you that dont listen though i will list the albums you should get in a row: Blackwater Park(best overall), watershed, damnation(for the softcore pink floydish types), deliverance(pure death metal), ghost reveries(has a deep purple cover), my arms your hearse(concept album), still life(more concepts with more prog), then i havent got the first two yet but im sure they have some good stuff that is mostly death metal.
This bag is full of big black dildos.

i think that it has annoying parts. like the end of burden when they keep playing the same riff while detuning the guitars. but i think it is mostly a strong album.

Regardless of the obvious hate, Opeth has some very amazing stuff.

One of my favorite bands ever.

And whatever bros, Watershed is amazing. And one of their bests, IMO.

Watershed is one of the albums of the year so far. So good. Must see them at some point.

I like Opeth, but Watershed really didn't do it for me. Its good but so far it hasn't really been that interesting after multiple listens. I preferred their last album (and "damnation" too).

I have the same feelings, but I should probably listen to Watershed a few more times.

I guess he's too used to 4chan to assimilate to another forum with actual discussions.
If you don't like something, don't post.

Anyway, Opeth is amazing, Blackwater park is A+ and Watershed is great too. It took me a few listens to really get into it, but I'm glad I gave it that chance.

Not album of the year, (that's going to Fortress in my book) but still definitely up there!
Got to see them on Prog Nation.

The show right before ours, the curtains fell on Opeth during their set.... during the song drapery falls.
IRONY?

I rate among the best albums. Along with 36CF and A06's new albums.
