I used to listen to them when their first ep and Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not came out, and it was incredibly catchy and fun (I bet you look good on a dance floor, dancing shoes, mardy bum, when the sun goes down, all epic songs).

But Favourite Worst Nightmare just didn't do much for me... I'll maybe get around to listen to it again.

its like no different, except that the songs have a somewhat darker tone. still extremely catchy pop. In some ways, Favourite Worst Nightmare is better than their first. it has some deeper aspects.

The only song I really recall is brianstorm I think, which was a bit different from their early stuff but I still liked it. The others are all blurry in my mind though.

when I put on the first track I was like "what, is this arctic monkeys?" then it starts... it's really nice this opener, though a little short.

I've only heard a few of their songs, and they never did anything for me at all... but I'm downloading that EP, hopefully my view will change.

yeah, it's pretty damn good overall...

I just think there's a different mystic about their early work but it probably has to do with me... I recall hearing about them in a time I started watching MTV2 and I was still a dumbass kid with no musical culture (which I still am but not comparatively).

so there are these bands like the arctic monkeys, we are scientists, maximo park, panic at the disco, etc that I have a special feeling about, even though I don't listen to most of their new stuff.

new single dropped. its a completely new direction for them, but its really growing on me.

for the dad-rockers out there. they said they listened to hendrix and cream while recording. and alex turner is straight up channeling jack bruce.
