Anyone know them?..I stumbled upon their album "Hanna" from 2008 yesterday at the music store for $1. Put it on today and was more or less blwon away. The orchestral/chamber elements with some electronic and vocal arrangements that almost remind me of what Casey might compose.

definitely seems like a steal for that cheap a price, and maybe 1 of the best newly discovered bands for myself of late.

3-disc 30-track concept album idea

Hey there!

We are about to make a very special new record! The idea is that we want it to be like a "choose your own adventure" album. We are going to record 10 songs... then record them again in another style, and then record them yet again in a third style. So there will be 30 tracks in total - some loud, some soft, some pretty, some harsh - with the idea that the listener will pick his/her favorite version of each track and be allowed to make their own "official" version of the album!

Unfortunately, in addition to being really fun, this idea is overflowing with expenses! The mixing of the album will probably cost at least $6,000, mastering around $2,000, and then with packaging and paying string, horn, woodwind players... YIKES.

If this sounds like a fun project to you, think about donating some cash. You will get totally awesome things in return, as well as a good feeling from helping support a few nerds fulfill a musical vision!

Thanks everyone!

Project location: New York, NY

I just pledged. They're pretty close already with over a month left.

bump.

wow, here's an update

fuck, some of those samples on their blog sound AWESOME. It sounds like this big 30-track concept record could be finished by the Spring..so the album could be released late Spring or next Summer.
