Casey, I have two questions.

1) What will I see tonight in these eyes?
2) What will I know when the morning comes (when the morning comes)?

When the band was writing their own separate parts, did you find it important to explain what was happening in this act of the story to inspire mood? Or was it best to just let them stay blind & find the music that fit with the parts?

A Night on the Town immediately comes to mind since it was already in the works years back.

Before we started even thinking about the music, I gave everyone concept art and a treatment of the story. It was important that they understood the context of songs - why songs like King of Swords (Reversed)" had a place in the mix, specific song orders, transitions, etc...

What was really fun, for me, was seeing how invested they became in the story, using words like 'non-canonical' do defend certain decisions, helping me with song titles, interjecting thoughts on intersecting song meanings.... its been an absolute dream working with them on this album.

Hey Casey, I've always wanted to know if you listen to/enjoy Rush at all? Listening to them really got me into concept music when I was younger, and was one of the reasons that led me to dive into your work.

Hey Casey, I've always wondered what kind of recording situation you had for Act I. I'm currently about to finish demoing my first solo record after my old band called it quits. I'm also close to finishing up a recording studio that my dad and I have been building from the ground-up. In there I will be fully producing and recording 90% of the instrumentation and vocals. Feel free to answer this question however you like. Mics, room size, recording equipment, whatever. I'm just amazed at how unique the production quality of Act I (and II for that matter) turned out.

Casey. A Dear Hunter fan needs a new Act IV single. I've listened to Waves and A Night On The Town so many times that I almost consider those two to be an album of their own.

Exactly what I thought. The T-shirt just made me question it, because I was pretty sure that he sings "can't". But yeah the rest of the lyrics do make more sense now. A terrible feeling it must be, to find yourself on a sinking ship and being able to see the lighthouse on the horizon.

Casey stated in an interview that the song has a certain meaning in the story, of course, but that it also is a big middlefinger to love. And therefore I thought that he sang "Can't see the lighthouse" and that it was a metaphor for "not being able to see any future with where his own or his character's relationship were going".

My friend and I like to believe it's "can't see the lighthouse" up until the last time when it changes to "can".

It has a deeper meaning to him and in relation to the Act's story possibly shows some type of redeption, if you will, for our fear filled hero.

Hey, Casey. I have a question about A Night On The Town. Obviously it takes from Untitled. I'm curious if we should be taking the events of Untitled into consideration when trying to figure out the story or if you were reusing an idea that you liked but ended up leaving off of a previous album. Basically, is A Night referencing what happened in Untitled or is it actually making the song irrelevant to the overall story? Sorry if that made no sense.
