okay so how did i end up in this musical group......

I met casey and nate about 5 years ago when our old bands toured together. We were called The Junior Varsity and they were of course The Receiving end of Sirens.

I simply kept in touch with casey over the years and would ask for songwriting advice and recording tips and things of that nature.

Last July, my band broke up and in September casey said that they needed a guitarist/piano player and a van for their upcoming tour with circa survive.

So off to Rhode Island i set sail. from illinois. The tour went good, we had fun, i decided the guys were cool and could probably put up with my bullshit, so I

moved to Rhode Island last January. and now we're famous and stuff. Its crazy being a big time rock star with a sports car and a sweet house and a sweet gun collection. But ive gotten used to it. I don't mind the impromptu autograph sessions when I head to 7-11 or walgreens. Sometimes I wear a sweat suit and ski goggles just to be inconspicuous. its worth it though.

Dear sir Wild Rick,

If I saw you somewhere (most likely a future tour) and said "Hey Wild Rick." would you 1) flip out because I called you Wild Rick, or 2) just be like "Hey <insert fan's name here>."?

I am by no means answering for him, but I assume that he believes it isn't wasting his money. Perhaps he likes digital synths better?

Ugh, I would think a professional musician would know better. The idiosyncrasies of the analog circuitry that give analog synthesizers like the ARP2600 (a favorite of mine and Brian Eno's) a distinctive sound that digital emulation can only reproduce to a certain, but still not completely accurate, extent.

Duh!

Well, Brian Eno is my favorite musician of all time, so I didn't find anything wrong with taking cues from him on gear choices :).
