Yes, we all love you.

I want to start by asking: by what associations did you come across The Dear Hunter, and what is the story of your joining?

Are you with the band for good, or just on a touring basis?

Can you make Casey come somewhere closer to me next tour?

Is it true that you got your nickname because your middle toe is greatly elongated?

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

Connor, what were the best Oysters you ate on this tour?

Also, Kari told me about what happened when you came to pick up your backpack and she didn't realize you needed to get into the car and she thought you were just talking/visiting. I laughed.

Hog Island Oyster Co for sure! it was in the Ferry building. Next time we're there lets all make a trip! And yes the produce stand trip was freaking funny. haha

I've been touring with the band for almost 2 years now first tour managing, then playing bass, aux stuff, and now finally guitar! My true instrument. All normal toes here. bummer.

Non-alcoholic would have to be a very spicy ginger ale, and alcoholic would have to be any number of choice micro brews.....

Hmmmm...for just a clean-pre amp boost, I love the zvex super hard on, and the lovepedal amp50. For my main overdrive I use a Death By Audio Interstellar Overdriver, its freaking awesome, sounds like a old ampeg amp cranked on 10. But overall I'm wayy more of a fuzz guy.

My favorite fuzz is always changing, I love a classic creamy psychedelic sound. Right now I've got a fulltone 70', which is a NOS 1970 silicon fuzz face clone. I also have a catalinbread octava-magus which is running through a death by audio total sonic annihilation feedbacker lopper. That's for when I want to blow peoples heads off with fuzz.

I'm always interested in hearing who inspires folks when it comes to music-- so I shall lay that question to you, Connor. Who or what would you cite as inspiration for your personal style?

I'm always searching for that out of body experience when playing music, I like cranking out the guitar and just sitting back and letting things happen with the band. That is probably why I'm soo into psychedelic/shoegaze music . Some of my favorite new bands are, Earthless, Entrance Band, and Ty Segall.
