This EP is totally raping my soul right now. I think it might be my early favorite.

This is how I feel every time I listen to it:

"Hi, I'm a recovering crackhead, and this is my retarded sister I take care of. I'd like some welfare please."

I'm addicted to She's Always Singing. Especially the "bah bah bah bah bah" part. VOCAL GOODNESS.

I feel like Casey could have easily worked his cover of Beautiful Girls onto Yellow. That would have been kind of hilarious.

I'm fairly surprised that Yellow is my favorite EP. Because I think it is. I love all four songs a hell of a lot. High School me would be so disappointed. But that guy listens to Disturbed so fuck him.

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

The Yellow EP not only epitomizes musical happiness for me, but also musical simplicity. The first song really sets the mood for the rest of it in under three minutes, almost enslaving you to sing along and crack a smile during the vocal break. The Dead Don't Starve utilizes the same chord progression as Sweet Cherry Pie, but the vocals are done in a different style that actually lets you harmonize with it if you decide to sing the SCP chorus over it. After that a very George Harrison esque guitar solo/break/thing completely shatters any doubt that one would have about Yellow being anything less than stunning, only to wow once again by reprising the SAS opening. Side two also features musical continuity when the laid back and Beach Boys style A Sua Voz leads right into one of the greatest songs on the Spectrum: Misplaced Devotion. As others have said, it's literally impossible to not sing and dance along with this tune due to its sheer catchiness.

It's really the perfect EP for happiness, and in a way, is a complete contrast to Blue, which for me symbolizes Rain and Sorrow, but not in an emo way.

The chant chorus in Misplaced Devotion is like the most victoriously glorious thing to sing along to
i just wish casey sang more in it. he owns the shit out of the first verse and chorus and unless i'm totally hearing wrong only does backups after that

Oh man, I loved portal 2 instant classic with lines like that. The cover and that video remind me of a line from a short lived MTV cartoon. "When life gives you lemons, you clone those lemons and make SUPER LEMONS"

Anyone?

Yellow EP has grown on me a ton in the past week or so.

I love A Sua Voz. "struggling to keep my heart from failing"is my favorite line to sing along to.

The Dead Don't Starve is catchy, but only by the sheer fact that the chorus sounds just like Sweet Caroline, which is a naturally catchy song. The harmonies in the verses are awesome though.

This made me lol & is exactly how I feel. Though my high school me wasn't as into Disturbed but was into some other poor choices of music.
