I don't know if this is right, but to me "this melody has never been sung with these words" speaks to human individuality? Like when people think they don't matter because they're not special/just the same as everybody etc, to remind them that they're actually a unique combination and their melody has never been sung with those words...

I dunno. I'm probably making it up.
