In an ongoing effort to organize the forums and improve the user experience, a number of changes have been enacted (or are in the process of being enacted).

Forum Organization
In response to members' noting that the overall categorization of the forum is lacking, we've began consolidating and renaming forums. If you disagree with the new layout, please comment below with your suggestion for improvement.

Music Directory
Good guy stretts started a thread a while back which serves as a quick look catalog of the assorted music genre threads. This thread has been updated to reflect recent additions and made visible from the index for easy navigation. Member help with this endeavor is greatly appreciated. (thanks daniel!)

Forum Guidelines
Currently under construction, these guidelines will be your basic community rules. Based partially on the ground rules set by doobeedobedoo, we hope to promote a healthier and friendly community with the implementation of these new guidelines.

Economy
The economy has been a point of contention among members since it was established. It was intended as an optional user experience, as well as a way to promote board interaction. The economy has been tweaked (and will continue being tweaked) to only offer user customization options. Currently, this means only badges are available in the store. Expect some reorganization of the shop categories as well. Unnecessary aspects of the economy (such as stocks) will be cashed out and disabled.

Moving Forward
If you have suggestions for other changes, please post them. LATR is a fan community run by you, the fans. We encourage discussion because that is what forums are for.

Also, eternally not a mod daniel is now a mod. He obviously knows these forums like few others.

I think daniel should still have the "not a mod" primary group. People will say "oh it's cool, this guy isn't a mod" then NARC'd.

Sidebar Blocks are happening
These are blocks that will/can feature media, anything from videos/blog links/pictures on the side of the home page for everyone to see. They will either be above or below status updates and recent topics (if we keep recent topics).

We've been talking about possibly having a "member of the week" or month. Since, there aren't that many people here, but these chosen one's will have the ability to choose to feature content on the home page whether it be something they want to promote or just something they think other people should see.

- Topic ratings! Rate topics. We may eventually try to work out a "top topics" or "hot topics" or something.
