Sort of.

Sometime this week LATR is going to be switching servers. I'm going to become the new "owner" of the site, in that I will host it. That's right: I'm your Jesus now.

That may sound ominous and like a big change but for the most part you won't be affected at all. This will help us add new features (like the minibadges) and potentially upgrade the forum software, but except for a day or two this week you won't notice a difference at all. Point your browser to lakeandtheriver.com and you'll get to the forum and see sheep and Janky posting that goddamn face and the word headlinging and talk about beards. I also have some cool ideas for other things we can do...

What this means in the short term is that the site will be unavailable for a period some day this week. I don't know which day, what time or how long it will take. A lot of it is up to the whims of the internet fairies. So at some point you'll want to get your sweet sweet LATR on and won't be able to, and then it will be back. Check Twitter or the Tumblr for updates while we're down. Probably Twitter.

FINALLY!! WE HAVE CONTROL OF OUR OWN SITE!!

to be honest it was pretty f#$%'d up that we couldnt do anything, and that this site was being held hostage for so long by someone that didnt even visit the site (i know NOTHING about the specifics... i just fealt taken advantage of for a while when ya'll were complaining about not having access to the server for upgrades)

if money is needed to pay for the server, i can donate!! just dont steal my money, $igz... unless its for a new toy for neil, then i can swing that.
