I can't speak for a scene or anything, but I think they are just a shitty band all around.

i think that PATD tries too hard. I saw them live with The Hush Sound and they were pretty good. but i havent listened to them in a longg while.

No, it's death.

Oh and panic at the disco is good... just not overwhelming.

i contest that pretty odd is in fact not very much progression at all and is in fact lateral motion
i mean i still like some songs on it and listen to it every once in a while

but it's like instead of trying to make their own sgt pepper's (or ok computer if everyone is as sick of the beatles comparison as i suspect) they just made someone else's

just because it's very different from fever doesn't mean they progressed

Nine in the Afternoon is almost a direct rip-off of ELO's Mr Blue Sky.

But I still like them. Kay Kay does the 60s revival rock better, though.

they're very unoriginal in the sense that they got half of their lyrics for "a fever..." from movies and chuck p. books, and then on their new one they just wanted to sound like the beatles. ngl tho i rocked the shit out of their first cd when it came out. they're still like, number 10 on my last.fm and i haven't listened to them in 3 years.
