Discuss GoT here, without the inconvenience of typing spoiler tags.

If you've read the books, cool, but NO SPOILERS. KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

So Sansa poisoned him right? My other guess was Lady Tyrell. She talked to Sansa about Rob's death at a wedding, foreshadowing what was to come. But Sansa picked up the cup for Tyrion... so I assume it was her somehow. Also, that random guy encouraged Sansa to get out of their before he drank the poison, so he obviously knew.

Also, Sersei is about to bring the pain.

It wasn't a random guy that told Sansa to leave... it was Ser Dontos. (He was the one who showed up drunk to the duel on Joffery's name day, and Sansa saved his life. Joffrey made Ser Dontos his fool instead of killing him.)

In the most recent episode, Ser Dontos gives Sansa his only remaining valuable possession, the necklace with blue glass/crystals, which she wears to the wedding. He basically thanks her for saving his life and indicates that he has nothing left to live for.

When the shit starts to hit the fan, he urges Sansa to leave before it's too late, so I think he poisoned Joffrey.

Although if that's true, we are robbed of the joy of one of the main characters having the satisfaction of killing that sadistic little prick.

Pretty sure Ser Dontos did it under the instruction of someone else.

I think that's what's so great about this show. Take Breaking Bad for example. A lot of cool things happened along the way, but we all knew that for the main characters, no one was really going to die until the very end. And side/main-ish characters would really only die in a season finale at least.

This show takes it to the next level. I would actually appreciate it if Ser Dontos killed him. It would be a story driven death instead of an audience / ratings / media driven death. Regardless, it doesn't have to be a season finale or anything to kill of a main character (or at least get a hand chopped off).

I've told a lot of people your comment on my facebook page today, Kari: "Knowing someone is still alive is a spoiler!"

It's the only show where if you find out someone DOESN'T die, it's a spoiler, and I love it that way.

Last week someone on FB said something like "That scene with Arya was amazing!" and I thought "FUCK!!!!!" because it meant that as I got caught up with season three, I knew Arya wouldn't die, so there was no real danger for her character.

Ser Dontos is the fat mute guy from Ali G In Da House! Thought you'd all like to know that.

Also some fuckin' Welsh TV programme just spoilered the fuck out of everyone on facebook with a set of pictures titled "Who killed this little shit?" over a picture of Joffrey. At least wait a week or two, for fuck's sake.

I'm sorry you are depriving yourself from such an amazing show. Nudity, violence, beautiful costumes and environments, intrigue, twists and turns, betrayal, and dragons!

Is there really dragons, or do they just talk about the dragons?

What they actually mean is that the show tends to really Drag On.

I'm bad at puns but I tried...

I you don't want to get spoiled you just should avoid facebook/tumblr/twitter until you have seen the most recent episode :P especially for popular series like Game of Thrones. I guess technically they're not even spoilers anymore as soon as the episode is over.

I've read the books :P I shall not spoil.

i've read the books too, and i love seeing watcher theories. i won't spoil you either, but i will say if you watch the ep really closely you can actually see the set up for it happening. it's one of those things where if you know what's going on, it looks really blatant. orrrrr you could just wait until this sunday, i can't imagine they're going to want to drag that out.

I don't think this is a spoiler. Nothing in it says that he's dead or that the actor is done playing his role. No past tense at all.
For all we know, it's saying that something really amazing happened involving Joffrey.

The only issue I have with GoT currently is that there are too many plot lines happening all at once. You get maybe 5-10 minutes of each per episode. I still like it a lot, but not as much as I initially did.

I think the Tyrell grandma did it. I could be wrong but she's a BAMF and they've been trying to see how much of a monster Joffrey was from the beginning. They just needed to make sure Margaery was queen first before the offed him.

That is my speculation

I also didn't think I would actually like Tyrrian's character as much as I do now.

That's one of the things I love about the show. I feel sympathetic towards almost everyone.
Even characters I hated for a long time, like Cersei.... after that episode where King's Landing was under siege and she was getting drunk and made it clear how much she hates her son and her life.... I liked her more and felt sorry for her.

I don't think she hated her son :P she loved him unconditionally even though she realized how awful he was. In the series he was awful to her too, but in the books she was the only one he was not mean to. He was a real momma's boy :P
