My friend Aaron and I want to pay the majority of a tattoo for Joe. The tattoo would be Carl Weather's face with a word bubble that reads: "Baby, You got a stew goin'."

apparently:
"and lo, it was waste and void"
expanded:
23 I beheld the earth,
And, lo, it was waste and void;
And the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled,
And all the hills moved to and fro.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man,
And all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful field was a wilderness,
And all the cities thereof were broken down
At the presence of the LORD,
And before His fierce anger.
27 For thus saith the LORD:
The whole land shall be desolate;
Yet will I not make a full end.

so...i read the full chapter and
it's
a testament to the righteous wrath of god towards sinners?

i thought you weren't a believer in sin

im going off the way its printed/translated on the inside of the album. i'm not really looking at it from a 'god kills all the sinners' perspective; i'm looking at it from the 'hope persists through pain and destruction and desolation' perspective.

here's the key line:
"The whole land shall be desolate;
Yet will I not make a full end. "

that's sound, gybe cuts it before the line that really ties it to biblical theme

"For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it."

god does not make a full end because he doesn't give up and start over (righteous) and the desolation serves to punish those who forsake the lord (wrath).

its also worth noting that this isn't actually what god does or plans on doing, its the ramblings of an apocalyptic jewish prophet (tis from the old testament/torah). its a mix between having the art and the message that i/the band percieves it to be.

true

i've decided that ill have my tattoo beginning at my left waist, crawl up my rib cage, around my back left shoulder blade, over my shoulder and down my left arm connecting to my first tattoo. i know the base of it will be black flames. nothing fancy, but as for what's in the flames, I've yet to draw. It'll take some time before I can finally do this shit. should be interesting once it's done though
