I also really like Stuff You Missed in History Class.

Is this part of the "How Stuff Works" series? Sounds like it could be interesting... I've been looking for a good general history podcast.

It is! It is pretty fascinating. The episodes are fairly short - less than 30 minutes apiece - and each focuses on a specific lesser-known event or person in history. Definitely check it out!

I listened to a couple over the past few days. I definitely like the two hosts better than the two guys who host "Stuff You Should Know". While searching for it I also stumbled on a "History of Rome" series that looks pretty fascinating. Might have to check that one out too

I've been listening to "Stuff You Missed in History Class" lately. So far, I heard "Growing up Brontë", "What Really Happened in Salem", one about a witch trial that happened in East Hampton before Salem. I also listened to a podcast about the lost colony of Roanoke. It's good to listen to while stuck in rush-hour traffic.

They're starting to grow on me a bit more. They just sound so awkward sometimes that it starts to make me feel awkward... especially Josh.

Ricky Gervais' old XFM radio show makes for such a funny podcast with the songs cut out. This one includes Karl Pilkington trying to explain evolution, amongst other things.

I unsubscribed from Stuff You Should Know a while ago. It never really clicked with me, and they got their facts wrong sometimes. So, kinda why bother.

Harmontown continues to be good, and I started listening to select episodes of This Feels Terrible, a relationship podcast from Erin McGathy (Dan Harmon's girlfriend)

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

Lol, well if that's your standard for unsubscribing I think that means you probably have to unsubscribe to every podcast ever.

When it's a podcast specifically about teaching me things, and the things they teach aren't accurate...

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

Well, I mean, I think it's a question of degrees. If 95% of what they say is wrong, they you've probably got a pretty good case. But if they slightly misstate one fact every 20 episodes, then I'd say it's probably not really a big deal. I can't imagine that there's anybody out there that's 100% correct about everything they teach 100% of the time.

Is that the one with Karl Pilkington? If so, then it's definitely worth it. (I've never actually listened to the podcast itself, but I've watched the HBO show, which just takes the old episodes and adds some animation to them to make them good for TV)

Yeah, it's the one with Karl Pilkington. The XFM show I posted above was when he was a producer on Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant's radio show, and they let him get more and more involved as they realised that he was a fuckin' idiot. It's great stuff, and a bit more fresh than it is now because it was on some tinpot radio show that nobody listened to. Funny stuff.
