so, not the biggest fan of Be®n Affleck as an actor (I really enjoy the movies he directed in saw though) but GONE GIRL looks interesting. It also has Rosamund Pike. Hopefully it's not shit.
please be nice

I watched Sling Blade for the first time today. That is a pretty great movie.

Since there was a Christmas parade in the village and, therefore, stuck inside, I ended up watching the Grumpy Cat Worst Christmas Ever movie. I didn't have high hopes for it, but Aubrey Plaza's biting sarcasm makes the movie.

Watched "The Skeleton Twins" the other night. Thought it was a great (and very underrated) movie. Gave me a whole new appreciation of Bill Hader.

Best scene:

"Hi, I'm a recovering crackhead, and this is my retarded sister I take care of. I'd like some welfare please."

I watched it this morning and found it to be extremely depressing. And I felt bad for Luke Wilson's character.

Yeah, I guess it was a little depressing at times. I still really enjoyed it though.

Me too. He seemed like a nice fellow. My favorite scene is in the dentist's office.

So in preparation for an upcoming movie trivia night, I've been re-watching every single Wes Anderson film over the past few days. So far in the last three days I've re-watched Bottle Rocket, Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited, with Fantastic Mr. Fox on deck for tonight and Moonrise Kingdom for tomorrow. Every time I re-watch his movies I realize more and more how much of a great filmmaker he is. Everything he does is basically perfect...

Kingsman was so awesome. It's not going to win any awards, but if you go in to this movie just wanting to be entertained, you'll love it.

Home was awful. It's like an animated add for Rihanna's overplayed hits with Jim Parsons trying to hard to be funny. Awful script, awful story. Shame on you Dreamworks.
