So I decided to do a 5x5 of my all time top albums too.

I was gonna post a proper one, since my last "3x3" was just one Justin Timberlake song, but I can't get iTunes and last.fm to re-link up properly. I haven't done the scrobbly thing since my last laptop. I'm so confused.

Isn't it just a matter of redownloading the scrobbler? Have you tried the last.fm help section?

Last month artist, text style:

1. Prefuse 73 (been way way back into them again)
2. Beastie Boys (I got Licensed to Ill, and have been flipping between 1 and 2)
3. The Dear Hunter (you probably haven't heard of them but they're pretty good)
4. Pixies (I do not remember this)
5. LCD Soundsystem
6. Pegboy
7. Do Make Say Think
7. Fatboy Slim
7. Lost in the Trees

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

Yup, redownloaded it. It can only scrobble what I listen to from here on out I think, since it said it only posts your listening history when you first do it to your account. I'll have to leave you guys hanging! OH THE MISERY

Ohh, you wanted to import your listening history from iTunes, yeh I only got that option the first time I ever made an account, so my first 7k scrobbles all came from my iTunes history. I guess you're just going to have to start scrobbling again and post yours in a month or a week or something :P

You can clear your scrobble history and re-scan your library. I did that back in 2007 or something.

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

I don't want to do that :P I like being able to see what I listened to when :P even if it's embarrassing.

Yeah, I was thinking of that but since I've had last.fm over the span of two laptops my iTunes started fresh, so wouldn't it clear out all of my old listens? Ah well, I'll live.

Guys, I'm trying so hard to push through this. I can make it with LATR's love and support though, I'm sure of it.

^^^ That's an amazing list. I love that you've got Scenes From a Memory on there. One of my all time favorites!

Mine too!
If I had created an account on last.fm something like two or three years before I actually did, Scenes would probably have an unreachable first place.
And thanks!

Yeah, if my last.fm went back to the late 90s/early 00s Dream Theater would probably be a lot higher up on that list. After Train of Thought the time I spent listening to them started shrinking significantly.

If my last.fm went back to the early 2000's it would have been awful.

So much awful generic pop/rap music that I only listened to because everyone did and it was socially acceptable. And I'm not trying to be elitist or anything because I do know that there is actual good pop and rap music (I don't enjoy rap personally but from an objective pov I can see that some rappers are really talented and make good rap music)
but the shit I listened to was really just a load of shit :P
