I'm thinking of doing the same, but in China.
I was greatly influenced by the Japanese people and their history...it was an amazing trip!
I suggest you get out of the country as often as possible. It widens your perspective of America and the world but it also reminds us of why the United States is an amazing country with numerous freedoms and privileges that are often taken for granted and overlooked! You'll definitely appreciate where you're from a little more by exploring other parts of the world.

EDIT
Nick, ive noticed you are extremely diplomatic, ever considered being a foreign diplomat?
I can be quite the diplomat on paper, but on the spot I tend to get a little tongue tied.

little piece of advice...your self description sounds a tad elitist and egotistical. I share a passion for Anthropology, but I feel any true studying Anthropologist would never state the reason for his observation of a forum, if there is such a research method, for fear of it influencing the results.
I would have been interested to know that you're simply an Anthro major at NYU...the other information is useless.
Please don't take this as me calling you out or insulting you...just an oddly timed and placed observation, of sorts.
If you have an suggestions of bands you think I'd like, since we seem to have a similar taste in music, please let me know.

The Executives of this country! The greedy upper class that would rather cut jobs and ruin lives than give up their private jet or pay themselves less.

What was going through your mind when your snare broke/failed this summer at the Pittsburgh/Diesel show? You guys played it off as quite the comedy skit, Casey yelling at Andy for continuing to play and whatnot.
PS: We need a picture of a Nick-variant "CrescenzOwned", for when he politely talks to DollaBillz, and such.
