I'm confused - I awarded myself the EU badge, and only 1 has been awarded, yet it's most awarded by JetBlk?

let me share my vision for badges with y'all:

We all love LATR. Most of us have even transitioned to being facebook friends. We're developing a fun, inclusive, hey-let's-sit-together-at-the-next-show atmosphere, which speaks to the caliber of people we have here. Trolling is done non-maliciously. Civil discussions are had (excluding fight thread and politics, for obvious reasons.) Life is good.


So why all the changes recently?

First of all, we just gained the ability to upgrade the forum software. There are a ton of cool forum customizations out there. An updated forum means easier access to previously impossible improvements. The result of this is kinda a kid in a candy shop effect. Sigs and everyone are superexcited at all the colors, duke. The colors!

Secondly, we're really hoping to make the LATR experience more rewarding. It's nice to see activity translate into improvements/personalizations. The badges are a great way to quickly show off your interests and personality. The economy is a vehicle for that sort of personalization, so that the admins aren't spending all day manually assigning I Love Lamp badges to all 1,260 members. We have lives (sometimes).

Badges, moving forward:

I want badges to be dynamic and expansive. I want to have to make new shop categories to keep all the damn badges in line. But I am only one dude. That's where you come in.

I currently have these categories for badges: Special, TDH, LATR, Misc, Social, Pop Culture, Music, Hobbies

The idea here is that if you don't find a badge for a movie/band/anime/hobby/meme/joke/etc. that you want, you tell me. I add it. It gets put in the shop for everyone to enjoy. Think you're alone in liking something? So what. I'll add it anyway. Have a specific idea for your personal badge? Post it here or message me. Be you.

With your help, we can have a legit sized badge catalog. No idea will be turned away, unless it's like gross or racist. Maybe.
