George here, checking if there are any TDH fans from Puerto rico!

I've met all kinds of people: big beards, no beards, wacky mustaches, pervy mustaches, total hipsters, total metal heads, and none have heard of The Dear Hunter, which has been disappointing. No one to share the love with!

So if there are any The Dear Hunter fans here living in Puerto Rico, raise your hands! (Or comment here and let me know, that would be more productive I hope)

So I work and study. Although not currently a music student, I do plan on dedicating my life to music, learning it and trying to bring something new to it. I play a bit of classical guitar, a tiny bit of piano, and my main instruments would be drums. I've played with a few bands here, though none have ever really gotten to the point of being relevant, from death metal- thrash, to alternative rock. In my last one I played drums and sang, it was more of an alternative band. I've also written a few things, all on MIDI though.

Other hobbies are regular suspects, like movies, tv shows, restaurants, board games, etc.

So my music likes include, but are far from limited to:

Son Lux, My Brightest Diamond, Bjork, Anathema, Thrice, Owen Pallet, Cursive (especially their Happy Hollows album), Cosmo Jarvis, Animals as Leaders, Exivious, Manchester Orchestra (especially Mean Everything to Nothing), James Blake, etc. etc.

[In brackets I'll name a few that i actually can listen to (and can be found singing along to), but are definitely guilty pleasures (more like shameful pleasures):

I can be found, secretly, listening to: Rihanna, Sia, Lorde, One Republic, and a few others i'm not mentioning jejej. End bracket!]

And to close this, obviously my band of choice, The Dear Hunter, which is the reason I'm here. I've been listening to them since 2008, have loved everything from Act I to Migrant, including Amour & Attrition even though it's not a TDH thing per se, but a Casey Crescenzo solo thing, which came out excellent. I still haven't been able to see them live, being stuck in this island, but I'm hopeful that i will in the future!

So thanks, and hopefully here I'll be able to meet fellow Dear Hunter fans and finally discuss topics related to them and their main man Casey Crescenzo.

And any Puerto Rico fans, if there are any, let me know!

Thanks! It was made after watching the Game of Thrones season 1-3 in a row, so that might have been an influence

I can't think of any Puerto Ricans on here unfortunately mate. Though I'm not the best person to ask since I couldn't point to Puerto Rico on a map. Somewhere in the Caribbean? That's as close as I'd get. Anyway, welcome to LATR!

Based solely on your avatar, I'd say you're the king of Puerto Rico.

Welcome!

I have a feeling I might be, which sucks since I can't share excitement every time something new comes out or the love in general. But hopefully this'll be enough of an outlet!

Ha! Pork highway, didn't know it was called like that. The pork there is phenomenal!

And the coffee IS excellent, we used to be the exclusive coffee import in the Vatican! But the coffee industry has been declining for some time :/ :(

I have to agree your avatar is pretty perfect and I'm jealous.

Just apologizing for having disappeared after just creating the profile thing. I've never really "forumed" before so bear with me lol.
Lochnesscheska, not sure if I should thank you for your jealousy, since it feels like a compliment, but jealousy isn't exactly the best thing lol (just a joke)
And Stretts, Tara Lynn and Fyrefly, thanks for the welcome! As well as to the others before!

Sorry I missed your welcoming the first time around!

What's your favorite color from The Color Spectrum?

And I'm glad I read your post to remind me that I haven't listened to Cursive in ages! Huge Cursive fan!

Thanks to both! And favorite color is difficult! At first it might have been black, then jumped to purple, at some point red, and green and indigo as well... I do have been listening to orange more often these days, but as to favorite favorite probably between black and purple. Then again that's just how I feel now, might change in a week lol. And you guys?

Some days Red (Andy Hull is amazing and We've Got A Score To Settle is in my top 3 TDH songs probably), but then I think about all the other colours and I love all of them too.
