Fun fact: I haven't been a TDH fan ever during an Act release. Got into them after Act III came out. I didn't think this'd be a big difference until I just read a comment (it's on the previous page now, can't be arsed going back to quote/see who it was) speculating about Ms. Leading then I was like "holy shit there can be plot speculation about this album I'm not used to this narrative anticipation stuff somebody help me breathe".

Haha, the Ms. Leading comment was mine, I think. Also, I'm in the same boat as you! I started listening to TDH between TCS and Migrant. So this is super exciting for me as well. I can't wait to dissect the lyrics and talk about the story when the album comes out.

Same for me, I started listening to them a year before Migrant came out.

In the recent AMA he did Casey confirmed that Wait would be on the upcoming album. That was before it was revealed to be Act IV, but I'm sure that doesn't change anything. Time to start dissecting Wait lyrics, kids.
The night keeps looking our way.

pretty similar to cramerer 's question. The "forgotten hard drive" hopefully will be *remembered* at some point.

So stoked for everyone to hear this! We speant many a day locked up writing and recording and its been pretty exciting having a little secret kept away from you guys. As someone who joined the band post-Acts I, 2, and 3 it's been really fun getting to learn the (many) intricacies of the story and focusing on how to convey those narrative details with musical details. I've found this to be the most "visual" of the Act records IMO, if that makes any sense, and I hope this record makes the world of The Dear Hunter more three dimensional and tangible for everyone.

Also I wanted to make some joke about how Migrant isnt actually non-canonical but i couldnt think of one and still wanted to say "non-canonical" anyway.

Being in the middle of a move while all this is happening is pretty overwhelming. That being said, Kari and I are stoooooked.

Hello all you wonderful new/classic people.

Holy fuck this is true for me too. Though I think it was shortly after Act III.

I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

It would be cool to get some of those non-Act songs Casey shelved in some type of side EP, similar to The Migrations Annex.

For anyone wondering, you can get Jurassic Park on Laser Disc for 14.99 used on amazon.

We'll talk about how we'll change but we will never follow through.

Me too man, I seriously cannot wait to hear the album and dig into the story. I plan on making a ranking and review of it, if I can ever get around to finishing the other two Acts first.
