Hey all! I'm Sean or Silent, whichever. Was just at the Color Spectrum show last night and met one of the mods, Tara I think. Very nice and pointed me this way. Been a fan for a bit over a year now and have seen them 4 times since then! Wow.

Just a bit about myself. I like prog rock mostly for music. Bands like Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Beardfish. But I also enjoy a bit of everything from The Beatles to State Radio to Immortal Technique. So my musical selection changes day to day depending on my mood, but METAL in general always seems to win out.

I'm also into film and video making. Fun stuff there. Should have a project done in the next month. I also read a lot.
One last thing: I'm a HUGE hockey fan. Growing up in New England I give NY fans a hard time, but its all in fun spirit and never mean anything personally. Tend not to do it as much online as its harder to pick up on cues.

I think we'll get along very well. I'm a huge Dream Theater fan myself (although you won't find much love for them around these parts). Love the username btw .

I can tell by your name. Yeah the show was great. Two things that were slightly annoying. 1)The jib cam kept malfunctioning so they had to keep putting it down to fix it. Not a problem other than they stood right in front of me each time. 2) I'm a film nerd so I became interested in the filming aspect sometimes more than the show. But had a GREAT time either way.

Its almost unreal to think that I was so pumped for this show and not thinking about how many fans wished they could have gone. Now that I'm on here I'm really taken aback by that. Also seeing how far some people came from to go to a show when I just took a train a few minutes from my house is unreal. I've always been jealous of people who do that and now I'm one of them. Haha. Just a bit more background: I grew up in Vermont and have been living in Boston for about 3 years now.

What's your favorite act/color/song?
I'm not the greatest Dream Theater fan ever, but i really like them. Albums like Images and Words and Metropolis pt 2 (i love the live dvd) are great.

Also, i couldn't afford any whiskey or tears, so i had to drink air for the whole time.

Beardfish!!! Nice. The Sane Day is an awesome album. I've always wanted to see them live, but their last tour with Zappa Plays Zappa and Dream Theater got canceled cuz their record company filed for bankruptcy. Anyhooo, Welcome to LATR. Beer me!!

I bought a ticket to one of the shows just to see them! I was very upset but Big Elf was a great addition. Seeing Beardfish on Thursday in Boston!!! Tiny show but probably the only chance to see them for a long time.

So much to catch up on. Lets start with the rest:
Dream Theater stuff: Scenes and Awake are my favs. My friends family just bought me a ticket to see them again. Not as big as I used to be but still hard to say they aren't a favorite.

Dear Hunter Favorites: Acts-2 or 3. 2 is really cool and awesome and 3 is the same but the production blows me away a bit more. Color- Violet if i had to choose. Maybe Orange. Least favorite: Indigo Songs: Acts- He Said He Had a Story or Church and Dime Colors: Home

Tara: You pimped this place well. I'll be honest too: I saw you just chillin looking really out of it then all of a sudden you started talking to me. You also never understood what I was saying and kept repeating yourself. I didn't need to smell the alc, I saw the alc in hand. Seemed nice and with good intentions though. Not the biggest Dear Hunter fan, but really enjoy them so figured I'd check out the community.

Everyone seems nice and cool so far. Hope to see people at shows one day. I most likely will be the guy with the curly mustache even though its MIA right now.
